(And our relationship is definitely confusing, given that we're on good terms but I helped to kill him in another universe.) He asked 'What is this thing?' when I visited him at the village later, and it's not clear what he was asking about, but I hope it was our relationship. I'm not sure siding with Drakka was the right political decision, but it was the right decision for my heart. And your company,' Drakka says, after the fight. I can't just murder my first friend among the Tenakth! I'll be honest: I was so unhappy to have killed Drakka that I reloaded and sided with him instead. Holy shit, I'm so upset about how that quest played out. But I ship him just a tiny bit with Aloy (or at least I like to think Drakka is one-sidedly interested in her, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE I'm not sure Aloy's into anyone), and I suppose having one half of my ship reluctantly kill the other is at least an interesting outcome. I like that he still admires me, rather than flipping straight to anger. I took Yarra's side, and Drakka said 'You really are something, Flame-hair' and 'Nice knowing you, Aloy,' with perfect sincerity, while preparing to kill me. I like both of you! Don't get me involved in this dispute! Worse: I'm leaning more towards taking Yarra's side (although I think they're both mistaken), but I like Drakka more and I really don't want to fight him. WHY IS THE GAME MAKING ME CHOOSE A SIDE BETWEEN YARRA AND DRAKKA, NO I don't want anyone to kill each other in this water dispute! I like both the commander and the challenger and I don't want them to fight to the death! (The sidequest in question is 'The Gate of the Vanquished', the culmination of the desert water dispute.) Horizon Forbidden West is a vast, beautiful game with plenty to talk about, but I'm going to make an entire entry focusing solely on one specific sidequest, and you can't stop me.
